Independent Sales Agent/Agency – Commercial Flooring
Location: Colorado
Job Type: Independent Contractor (Commission-Based)
Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated, independent sales agent/agency to represent TAJ Flooring in a designated state or regional territory. This commission-based role focuses on driving product sales and increasing brand presence with the architect & design (A&D) community and commercial contractors. As an entrepreneurial sales partner, you’ll run your own business while being supported by TAJ marketing, product, and customer service teams. The ideal candidate is relationship-driven, confident in presenting product solutions, and experienced in the commercial building materials industry.
Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities

- Drive Sales Performance: Achieve or surpass revenue and margin targets through strategic territory planning and proactive selling.
- Territory Development: Develop and maintain relationships with key A&D firms, general contractors, and flooring contractors through scheduled calls and in-person meetings.
- Product Representation: Promote TAJ flooring products via presentations, sample distribution, social media, and technical support.
- Account Retention: Sustain existing relationships by providing outstanding service, education, and follow-up.
- Market Intelligence: Stay informed on regional construction trends, competitor products, and pricing strategies to influence market positioning.
- Project Tracking: Log activities and opportunities to report progress and manage account information.
- Cross-Functional Support: Coordinate with TAJ inside sales, marketing, and operations teams to address customer needs and close deals.
Preferred Qualifications

- Minimum 5+ years of sales experience in commercial flooring, finishes, or related industries.
- Experience selling resilient flooring solutions including luxury vinyl, sheet and rigid core products preferred.
- Existing network in the A&D and commercial contractor sectors preferred.
- elf-motivated with strong time-management, follow-up, and presentation skills.
- Must own a vehicle and be willing to travel within the territory.
- Familiarity with social media and digital presentation platforms.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
Compensation
Commission-only role with unlimited earning potential based on sales volume and performance. Estimated annual income potential: $65,000 – $150,000+.
Work Location & Travel
Independent, remote-based within your assigned state or region. Less than 10% travel to TAJ Headquarters in Elgin, Illinois (near Chicago) for training, sales meetings, or customer events.
